Texas Griller Trades is a free, public resource that reports stock trades disclosed by members of Congress and by corporate insiders.
Where the data comes from
- House of Representatives: Periodic Transaction Reports published by the Office of the Clerk.
- Senate: Periodic Transaction Reports from the Senate electronic financial disclosure (eFD) system.
- Corporate insiders: SEC Form 4 filings from EDGAR.
What to keep in mind
- Under the STOCK Act, members of Congress have up to 45 days to report a trade, so disclosures arrive after the fact.
- Members report dollar ranges (for example $1,001 – $15,000), not exact amounts.
- Trades may be made by a spouse, dependent, or managed account.
- Records are collected automatically and may contain parsing errors; always check the original filing.
